Higher Education: How it can benefit from closer partnership
Our report argues that closer UK–EU cooperation in higher education is essential to unlock opportunity for young people, apprentices and researchers on both sides of the Channel. Re-joining Erasmus+ and establishing a UK–EU Youth Mobility Scheme would restore the freedom to study, train and work together, strengthening skills, inclusion and cultural ties.
We also call for practical steps to make research collaboration easier — from fairer visa rules to mutual recognition of qualifications. In a world facing rapid technological, climate and security change, partnership in education and innovation is not optional — it is vital to our shared future.
